Description
The 180 mm length, sized for children and for lunch boxes where a full-length pair will not fit. Same construction as the 235 mm: hand carved, polished repeatedly, then finished with beeswax.
The octagonal section
The eight flats stop them rolling and make them easy to hold correctly, which matters more for a child learning than for an adult. The taper to a fine rounded tip gives control without a sharp point.
Natural wood
Each pair varies in colour and grain. The finish is wax rather than lacquer, so they feel warm and slightly soft rather than glassy — and so they need hand washing. A dishwasher will take the wax off and leave the grain raised.
