Description
A cordless self-propelled mower for a lawn of around 480 m² — the size where a push mower starts to feel like work and a petrol machine feels like overkill. Two 24V batteries run in series to give 48V at the motor, and both are supplied along with a twin-slot charger.
How it cuts
A 46 cm steel deck, three ways to deal with the clippings: collect into the 55L box, mulch them back into the sward, or side-discharge. Seven cutting heights from 25 mm to 80 mm cover a fine summer finish through to the first cut after a wet fortnight.
Drive and motor
Rear-wheel self-propelled drive does the pushing, which matters on any slope. The motor is brushless: quieter than a brushed equivalent, more efficient with the battery, and with no brushes to wear out it needs effectively no servicing. The handle folds flat for storage.
