Description
A 196cc petrol self-propelled mower with push-button starting, for medium to large lawns where a cordless machine would need a battery change halfway round. The recoil starter is still fitted as a backup, so a flat starter battery does not stop you mowing.
How it cuts
A 51 cm steel deck with four ways to handle clippings: mulch, collect, side discharge or rear discharge. The 60L collector is large enough that you are not stopping every other pass. Seven cutting heights run from 25 mm to 75 mm.
Engine and drive
The 196cc four-stroke produces about 5.5 HP, which is enough torque to keep the blade speed up in thick or damp grass rather than bogging and tearing. Rear-wheel drive is engine-powered, so the mower pulls itself up gradients and you steer. The handle is soft-gripped.
