Description
The silicone sealing ring for the KINTO DAY OFF TUMBLER 900ml lid. This is the small part that actually makes the lid watertight, and it is the first thing to check when a bottle starts to weep around the cap.
When to replace it
Silicone hardens and takes a set over time, particularly if the bottle is regularly filled with something hot. Once the ring stops springing back it no longer seals, and no amount of tightening fixes that. If your tumbler has begun to leak or to smell of yesterday’s coffee, replacing the ring is usually the whole repair.
Fit and care
Fits the 900 ml DAY OFF TUMBLER lid. Lift the old ring out of its groove, seat the new one evenly all the way round, and check it sits flat before closing. Wash it separately from time to time — the groove it sits in is where residue collects.
