Description
A mid-range folding powerchair aimed at people who want a day’s worth of range rather than the lightest possible chair. Up to 24 km on a charge covers a supermarket run, an appointment and the walk round a park without planning the route around the battery.
Controls
The joystick turns through 360° and steers precisely enough for supermarket aisles and lifts. The control panel keeps everything on one face: speed setting, battery level, power, and direction. There is no menu to learn.
Safety
Two independent braking systems — an electromagnetic brake that holds as soon as you stop commanding movement, and manual hand brakes you can apply yourself. Anti-tip wheels are fitted at the rear. On a slope, the electromagnetic brake holds position rather than letting the chair creep.
Folding and transport
The frame folds compactly enough for most car boots and for storage in a hallway cupboard, which is what makes it practical for someone who is out most days rather than occasionally.
