Privacy policy

This policy explains what Punichair does with your personal data. We are the data controller.
Our details are at the foot of this page.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and
    telephone number. Card details go straight to our payment provider — we never see or store
    them.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address and whatever you write in your
    message.
  • Automatically: the technical data your browser sends, and the cookies our
    shop software needs to remember your basket and keep you logged in.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

  • To take and deliver your order, and to handle returns — this is necessary to perform our
    contract with you.
  • To answer your enquiries — our legitimate interest in running a business people can talk
    to.
  • To keep records HMRC requires us to keep — a legal obligation.

We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to, and if you have, every message
carries an unsubscribe link that works.

Who we share it with

Only those who need it to fulfil your order: our delivery carriers, our payment provider, and
our web host. We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

Order records for six years, because tax law requires it. Enquiries that do not lead to an
order, two years. After that it is deleted.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask
us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it,
or ask for it in a portable format. Write to
contact@punichair.com and we will respond
within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information
Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us
first, but it is your right either way.

Cookies

We use only the cookies our shop needs to work — your basket, your session, and a
security token on the contact form. We run no advertising trackers, no analytics pixels and no
third-party scripts of any kind on this site.
